For the extraordinary technology revolution that it brought into film making. Cameron spend about 15 years thinking and executing this project what he came up with was a breathtaking visual treat for all movie goers; Avatar has been “the movie” of the year, eagerly awaited since the start of the year, it has been nominated in 9 categories:

* Art direction
* Cinematography
* Film editing
* Original score
* Sound editing
* Sound mixing
* Visual effects
I had a very difficult time choosing between Avatar, Hurt Locker and The Inglourious Basterds, what I was bowled over was the technology behind it. Avatar is not a story that is gripping as the Hurt Locker or as beautifully made as the “Inglourious Basterds”, it’s simple and yet sophisticated, blends a future concept with today’s reality. Having said this The Hurt Locker and Inglourious Basterds may make it to the podium ahead of Avatar.
